Flow cytometer based on new scanning flow cytometry technology (scanning flow cytometer)
FLOW Cytometer
Advantages of the Novel Scanning Flow Cytometry technology:
Flow cytometry (FC) is a technique used to detect and measure the physical and chemical characteristics of a population of cells or particles.

Sample containing cells or particles is focused to ideally flow one cell at a time through a laser beam, where the light scattered is characteristic of cells and their components.

Only on the basis of the LSP data it is possible to distinguish specific cell phenotypes without use of fluorescent dyes (antibodies).
  • 1
    Platelet hemostasis
Novel Scanning Flow Cytometry technology will allow directly monitoring of platelet haemostasis in clinicalpracticeatallstagesoftreatment:fromearlydiagnosistothecorrectionoftherapeutic use of drugs.
  • 2
    Differential diagnosis of anemia
Novel Scanning Flow Cytometry technology allows determining the oxygen transport characteristics of red blood cells, the parameters important for adequate differentiation of various etiologies anemias. Importantly, this technology was already approbated to assess the risk of premature birth for maternity hospitals and perinatal centers.
  • 3
    Early diagnosis of tumor processes
Novel Scanning Flow Cytometry technology will allow detecting and analysis of circulating tumor cells, which will help to predict patient conditions in the early stages and determine appropriate individual treatment. Detection of such cells has several advantages over traditional tissue biopsy methods, they are non-invasive, can be reused and provide more useful information about the risk of metastasis.
  • 4
Assessment and identification of blood microparticles
Novel Scanning Flow Cytometry technology allows to distinguish subpopulations of microparticles derived from different cells (platelets, RBCs, lymphocytes, endothelial cells) which may serve as new markers for various diseases.
